Aconcagua is the perfect blend of exposure to high altitude climbing paired with a comfortable approach. This enables climbers to focus in on self care and develope skills to thrive at high altitudes. For the first half of the climb we are trekking, following established trails high into the Aconcgua massive. Leaving Basecamp, our pack weight increases and we become more self-sufficent. We setup our tents, the guide team perpares the food, and we leave many of the creature comforts behind. Aconcgua offers the best of both worlds, allowing climbers to experience high altitude without the numerous other technical elements required by other peaks this size.
